Meet
Dr. Elizabeth Cox, MD
Dr. Elizabeth Cox, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 10 years of clinical experience. She received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and later studied medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her Doctor of Medicine. She completed residency in psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she served as chief resident. She works with all genders of patients and is also an expert in reproductive psychiatry and women’s mental health treatment, and is well-versed in treating women’s mood and anxiety disorders, as well as other psychiatric disorders, during times of hormonal fluctuation and change (pregnancy, postpartum, menstruation, menopause and infertility). She previously served as Medical Director for UNC Women’s Mood Disorders at Wake Med North and Residency Education Director for Women’s Mood Disorders at UNC and with numerous textbook and scholarly journal publications in the field. She remains Adjunct Faculty at UNC Chapel Hill and is Chairwoman of the Scientific Advisory Committee on the Advisory Board of the Foundation of Hope in Raleigh. She also serves on the Speaker's Bureau for Zurzuvae, the first FDA-approved oral treatment specifically for Postpartum Depression.
Dr. Cox believes in a holistic approach to treatment that includes nutrition, exercise, sleep, therapeutic interventions and pharmaceutical intervention, when indicated. She is originally from Charleston, SC but now calls Raleigh, NC home, where she resides with her 3 small children and spouse.

Reset Health & Wellness
Sometimes we all need a little “Reset.” At Reset Health & Wellness, we believe in treating the full person through a comprehensive patient-centered care model. This encompasses examining overall health and wellness, including physical, mental and emotional well-being. Treatments include therapeutic interventions, prescription medications as indicated, and referrals to other specialists to coordinate care so that you can move forward with living a full and balanced life.
Clinic Policies
Telepsychiatry
Appointments are available either in person or via Telepsychiatry using a HIPAA compliant platform, and are exclusively available to residents of North Carolina. Patients local to Raleigh are encouraged to meet in person, if possible, for the initial consultation. For telepsychiatry, patients simply need an internet connection, a smart phone/tablet/computer and a private area to meet.

If possible, please join the session 5-10 minutes prior to appointment start time to allow for any delays in connection set up

Select a location that ensures you have privacy to speak freely

Please refrain from driving, operating heavy machinery, consuming an illegal substance, or doing other tasks (ie homework, housework) during the session
Payment
Dr. Cox is out of network for insurance companies and does not participate in Medicare. Payment is due at the time of the appointment. Patients can work with Reimbursify to submit a superbill (including diagnosis codes and procedure codes) to insurance to be reimbursed for out-of-network costs, according to their insurance plan.
